Our range of octagonal softboxes with matching grid diffusers. Ideal for main or fill-in lighting requirements.iLux Octagonal softbox sets consist of both the Octabox and fabric grid. The purpose of the fabric 'egg crate' grid diffusers is to soften the light further still and to give even more directional control.

Each Octabox is supplied with an 'egg crate' grid which is fast and easy to attach. The fabric grid helps to control the spill of soft light in smaller spaces and while it does not have the definitive shadow edge that a hard or undiffused light source would create, they are very effective in stopping light spill.
With two softboxes as key and fill-in you can adjust their individual brightness very quickly and take advantage of the gradual fall-off they provide. Be aware that there is some loss of output when you use an egg crate. However, it's usefulness in the difficult task of controlling soft light is too big an advantage to dismiss.
